The role

We are looking for a Product Development Officer to support the development and ongoing improvement of nutritional supplement products. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving startup environment, ideal for someone with a strong science background and industry experience in food supplements or nutraceuticals.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to help turn product ideas into market-ready supplements that meet Irish and EU regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the development of new nutritional supplement products from concept through to launch

• Working with ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, and testing partners

• Helping ensure products comply with Irish and EU food supplement regulations and quality standards

• Preparing and maintaining product documentation, specifications, and compliance records

• Supporting product testing, reformulations, and continuous improvement

• Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and industry trends in the EU supplements market

• Taking ownership of tasks and contributing across different areas, as required in a startup environment

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Degree in Nutritional Science, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related life science discipline

• Industry experience in nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, or food product development

• Understanding of EU and Irish regulatory requirements for food supplements

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Experience working with EU food law, EFSA guidelines, and permitted ingredient lists

• Familiarity with health claims regulations and product labelling requirements

• Experience working with contract manufacturers or private-label partners
